We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to the Colony Group creative department, Trisha Curtis. She joins the Brisbane office as a Senior Designer and brings with her a set of top-notch design chops that are already helping our clients to shine. In this instalment of The Colony Blog, we get to know a little about Trisha and what drives her.
How did you choose this career path?
I hit a brick wall, motivation-wise, at uni while studying business management, so turned to what I was truly inspired by as a teenager – art & graphics.
What was attractive to you about joining the Colony Group team?
I wanted to be near like-minded folks who foster, encourage and inspire you to grow.
What will you be doing in the Brisbane office?
Working with existing and new clients to help them evolve and grow.
What do you do outside of work? What are you passionate about?
I love cooking and am also getting back into creating art, particularly using mediums I haven’t tried before.
Favourite movie or music?
Movie: Spirited Away or National Lampoon’s European Vacation.
Music: Anything prior to the year 2000, but also really enjoying Solange Knowles and Benjamin Clementine.
Favourite part about living in Brisbane?
The weather. The weather. The weather. Oh, and the weather.
What part of your job gets you the most excited?
New projects – I love creating ideas from nothing but a couple of words.
Tell us something about you that no one would ever guess just by looking at you.
I love period television dramas.
