Consumer insight is a powerful tool. It’s a deep understanding of your market, the needs, solutions, and missed opportunities. What we have isn’t the same as what we want. And what we want isn’t the same as what we need. And often, what we need isn’t the same as what we could have or what the possibilities are. Sound confusing? Insight gives us clarity.
We don’t know how to make shoes. Give us a piece of leather, nails and cotton and frankly, we wouldn’t know where to start. That’s why we don’t always expect our clients to know how to write a brief. We work alongside our clients to make sure we understand everything about them and their market before developing the all-important brief. We may not know how to make shoes but we do know how to help your business grow. And the best way to do that isn’t always the way you think it is, which is why research and insight are so invaluable.
It’s all about getting to know your market – who they are, what they do and why they do it. Gaining a thorough understanding of both customers and competition is crucial to the success of your business. What are the pain points and areas of frustration? We like to know what’s already out there so we can talk about what isn’t. By conducting research, we aim to create a roadmap outlining current trends and where the gaps and opportunities are. While we don’t have a crystal ball, it’s a great way to future proof your brand.
The needs of the market are often retrospective – we need what we know. But what about what we don’t know? How can we understand, grow and develop into something innovative that creates demand for our insatiable appetite for the unique and original?
